Charles Causley’s works are many and varied. Over a period of 50 years, he gained a reputation, not only as a major poet, but also as an editor of poetry collections, as a playwright and as a writer of prose. He also collaborated with composers to produce librettos and the setting of many poems to a musical score.

Causley was widely anthologised, and these anthologies are far too numerous to be listed. Only anthologies which have a small number of poets are included.
